PETROMAT held a manufacturing training session on August 10, 2023, titled “Developing Efficient Manufacturing Processes.” Dr. Katiya Kraikan led the event, with participation from Prof. Hathaikarn Manuspiya, PETROMAT’s Director, Prof. Boonyarach Kitiyanan, PETROMAT’s Deputy Director and around 15 attendees at CU Innovation Hub, Chamchuri 10, Chulalongkorn University.
The training focused on industrial manufacturing, production planning, and new plant establishment, offering inventors insights into translating lab innovations into practical industrial applications.
Moreover, the session emphasized real-world application and technology selection based on economic, customer, and feasibility considerations for each industry. While manual operations are still appropriate for many steps, efficiency can be significantly enhanced through the integration of automations, which also contribute to reducing waste and energy use, fostering sustainability.
