Held from August 11-15, 2023, at IMPACT Arena, Exhibition & Convention Center, this event, organized by Thailand’s Ministry of Higher Education Science Research and Innovation, garnered active participation from science institutions, leading universities, private sectors, and attracted over a thousand daily visitors, including students, researchers, and business developers.
PETROMAT’s booth captivated attendees with three standout innovations. Among these were ‘Cello-gum’, derived from nata de coco waste, serving as a stabilizer in the food and pharmaceutical sectors. Also featured was ‘BioMushBloom’, offering bioplastic bags ideal for zero-waste mushroom cultivation, and ‘A Novel Eco-friendly 3D Printing Filament’, crafted from recycled plastic content for diverse 3D-printed creations. These innovations showcased PETROMAT’s remarkable achievements in sustainable material development.
A special highlight took place on August 11, as Prof. Hathaikarn Manuspiya, inventor of ‘Cello-gum’, Mr. Varoon Varanyanond, BIONEXT’s executive, and Prof. Boonyarach Kitiyanan, the moderator, discussed the innovation’s industrialization and its seamless alignment with Circular Economy principles.
