PETROMAT, in partnership with Thammasat University’s Faculty of Science and Technology and Chulalongkorn University’s Department of Chemical Technology, successfully organized the “Benign by Design Green Materials through Heterogeneous Catalyst” conference on July 21, 2023. Held at Chulalongkorn University’s MHMK building, the event featured speakers from leading universities and industries.
The conference commenced with an opening speech by Associate Professor Peerasak Paoprasert, on behalf of the Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology at Thammasat University. Professor Boonyarach Kitiyanan, PETROMAT’s Deputy Director, welcomed all participants and provided an insightful overview of the innovative project, “Hub of Talents: Sustainable Materials for Circular Economy.”
The conference highlighted inspiring lectures in the field of Biorefinery, including Professor Rafael Luque from King Saud University sharing innovative ideas on transforming biomass into valuable chemicals, promoting both sustainability and circular economy.
