HubSustainMat Joins MSAT-12 to Advance Sustainable Materials for BCG & Net Zero

HubSustainMat joined in the 12th International Conference on Materials Science and Technology (MSAT-12) from October 24-25, 2024, at the Asawin Grand Convention Hotel. Jointly organized by the Rubber-Elastomer Technology Association (RETA) and the National Metal and Materials Technology Center (MTEC), the event brought together academics, industry leaders, and policymakers to explore the impacts of the Bio-, Circular-, and Green Economy (BCG) model and carbon credits on various industries.

Prof. Hathaikarn Manuspiya, Head of HubSustainMat, participated a panel discussion on “Outlook on BCG and Carbon Credit Impact to the Industry and Economy” and moderated a session titled “Outlook on Moving Forward to Circular Economy.”

HubSustainMat’s researchers also contributed valuable insights: Prof. Boonyarach Kitiyanan presented “Creating Value from Waste: A Path to Sustainable Business with the Circular Economy,” sharing PETROMAT’s success in applying circular economy principles, while Mr. Varoon Varanyanond discussed “Rubber and Carbon Footprint for Product Assessment,” emphasizing essential elements for carbon footprint evaluation.

This conference highlighted essential advancements in materials science and technology, inspiring new pathways toward a sustainable, BCG-based, and net-zero future.
