Hub of Talents: Sustainable Materials for Circular Economy joined the Department of Materials Science, Faculty of Science, Chulalongkorn University, the National Metal and Materials Technology Center, and the Thai Ceramic Society to organize ICTA 2025: The International Conference on Traditional and Advanced Ceramics, held from 15–17 October 2025 at the IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Center.

On October 15, Prof. Hathaikarn Manuspiya, Head of HubSustainMat, attended the opening ceremony to receive the ICTA 2025 token of sponsorship, symbolizing the Hub’s ongoing commitment to advancing sustainable materials.

In addition, Mr. Varoon Varanyanond, Industrial Partnership Advisor of PETROMAT, took part in the panel discussion titled “Decarbonization — Addressing Environmental Challenges and Solutions in the Ceramics Sector.” The session featured Asst. Prof. Siriluk Chiarakorn from King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi and Mr. Pathom Chaiyapruksaton from the Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization. The discussion highlighted practical strategies for reducing carbon emissions across the ceramics value chain — from raw materials and manufacturing to energy efficiency and product life cycle management.

The ICTA 2025 also featured keynote speakers from Thailand, China, Japan, Taiwan, Singapore, and Malaysia, besides researchers and professionals worldwide. This conference served as a platform for sharing knowledge and innovations, advancing the ceramics industry toward greater sustainability and circularity.
