Hub of Talents: Sustainable Materials for Circular Economy (HubSustainMat), led by Prof. Hathaikarn Manuspiya, Head of HubSustainMat, joined the technical discussion “Advances in MOFs Design: From Synthesis to Applications.” Held on 13 November 2025 at the Pathumwan Princess Hotel, the event was co-organized by the Petroleum and Petrochemical College, Chulalongkorn University, and Thailand’s Department of Primary Industries and Mines (DPIM).

Bringing together around 100 participants from academia and industry, the session opened with a welcoming address by Dr. Kittiphan Bangyikhan, Director of the Division of Innovation on Raw Materials and Primary Industries, DPIM, followed by opening remarks from Ms. Araya Salaiphat, Deputy Director-General of the DPIM.

The discussion was led by Dr. Bhumin Than-ardna, Head of the project and a member of HubSustainMat, together with Mr. Phuwadol Pornsawangwat, the project’s researcher. Their session explored the potential of Metal–Organic Frameworks (MOFs) — from innovative design and synthesis techniques to pathways for industrial-scale applications. The team also showcased a prototype carbon capture device incorporating MOFs, highlighting the material’s promising role in carbon capture and supporting the transition toward a sustainable and circular economy.
